Preferred Database: Enviornment Abstracts

The three most likely databases for my upcoming paper are:

  • Sustainability Science Abstracts
  • JSTOR
  • Environment Abstracts
The three most likely databases for my current major(s) are:
  • PsychINFO
  • MathSciNet
  • JSTOR
 Sustainability Science Abstracts:
*This database is very relevant with global impacts of human consumption. It has many articles that are easy to use and find. The accessibility of those articles are hard to come by because the ones I wanted to use did not have a URL link and the lib's catalog was not pulling a few of them up. For the most part it is useful.

Environment Abstracts:
*This database was very relevant but general search topics would lead to many results. Narrowing the search would produce better articles. The articles were easy to access and for the most part the database was easy to use.

PsychINFO:
* I found one article that linked into "Wall-E" but this database is not one I would use for my current paper. The articles were easy to access with direct links and the site was easy to use.

MathSciNet:
*I really did not look into the database because I would not need it for my paper. The sources are confusing in what they are about. I think I would need a better understanding of mathematics to use this database. The articles were easy to access.

JSTOR:
*This database gives many results for one search topic. It almost seems like too many. There are accidental finds of good sources but using this database takes time to weed good sources out. Most of the articles I looked at were easy to access.

Enviornment Abstracts is my preferred database despite it's picky search engine. When I type in the right words to search, the database is almost dead on in relevance. There is not much self-filtering that I have to do.
